Title: Facilities Coordinator
Employment: Full time / Fixed Term (6 Months)
Salary: $100,000 per annum + Super + Salary Packaging
Location: Surrey Hills, VIC
About the role
Be the driving force behind safe, functional, and welcoming spaces across our diverse range of properties; from office hubs to our clients’ homes. Reporting to our National Manager, Property and Assets, you'll manage maintenance, contractors, safety systems, and compliance to ensure our buildings run smoothly and support the people who rely on them.
This role is initially for 6 months fixed term whilst Able Australia is growing. When you join us, you're not just maintaining buildings, you're creating spaces where people feel safe, supported, and empowered.
🔧 What You’ll Be Doing:
- Managing the day-to-day operations and keeping our buildings humming smoothly
- Leading maintenance activities; both planned and unexpected
- Coordinating contractors across trades from quote to completion
- Making sure we're compliant with NDIS and all relevant codes
- Conducting site inspections and managing upgrades, repairs, and access
- Monitoring facility performance and hunting down cost-saving opportunities
- Looking after our essential services — fire safety, security, and CCTV

Skills and experience required to be successful in this role:
- A strong understanding of Facilities and Asset Management operations preferably within the not-for-profit sector or disability sector
- Good understanding of national building code compliance
- Previous experience coordinating property or maintenance works across a range of property types
- Demonstrated experience in a high volume fast paced operations role
- A proven track record in operational management within a service industry environment
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise works
- Customer-focused approach with the ability to build strong relationships with clients at all levels
